Old men ought to be explorers
Here or there does not matter
We must be still and still moving
Into another intensity
For a further union, a deeper communion
Through the dark cold and the empty desolation,
The wave cry, the wind cry, the vast waters
Of the petrel and the porpoise. In my end is my beginning.

Four Quartets – T.S. Eliot

I’m trying to learn from sponges to be insatiable on this exploration of the Inexhaustible. Ahoy, I’m Adam, editor-in-chief in this cozy space of the web. I’d love to chat with you via Google+, Twitter (@atminn), or on various forums as either atminn or atminnie.

Generally, my contributors and I tend to write about games, story, exploration, and expanding experience in one way or another, with various extra bits from my life and mind tossed in. I am most fascinated by those games that best facilitate storytelling and group imagination. Together, we all run the gamut of interests in genres and styles so we hope you appreciate the variety.

I am extremely thankful to enjoy the opportunity to collaborate with my massively imaginative co-explorers, Craig Payne (Google+, @snapcragglepop), David Thomas (Google+, @grimmshade), Dain Lybarger (Google+@DainXB), and others. I hope you enjoy their uniquely powerful contributions as much as I do.

Now, on with our duty: exploration and appreciation.

We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.
Through the unknown, unremembered gate
When the last of earth left to discover
Is that which was the beginning;
At the source of the longest river
The voice of the hidden waterfall
And the children in the apple-tree
Not known, because not looked for
But heard, half-heard, in the stillness
Between two waves of the sea.
Quick now, here, now, always—
A condition of complete simplicity
(Costing not less than everything)
And all shall be well and
All manner of thing shall be well
When the tongues of flames are in-folded
Into the crowned knot of fire
And the fire and the rose are one.

I'm a husband, father, explorer of the inexhaustible, and synergy cultivator. Starting with D&D, my explorations into role-playing and game design have brought me to savor mining diverse systems, initially Cortex Plus, then PbtA, ORE, Forged in the Dark, and now anything I can get my hands on.
